UPDATE (March 12, 2020): Sadly, Mdou Moctar has cancelled their entire tour including the upcoming show in Ottawa. Refunds will be processed via PayPal over the next few days. If you have any questions, email us at hello@debaser.ca.
We hope to have Mdou Moctar back soon. Statement from the band below:
"Due to circumstances out of our control, we need to cancel our tour for March and April (tickets will be refunded at point of purchase.) We are very sad not to come and play for all of our fans, but we understand it's in the best interest for everyone to take caution and be safe. As it stands now, we still plan to be back in June for our U.S. / Canadian shows, and we will keep you posted if that changes. We hope everyone stays healthy, and look forward to coming back and playing for you soon!"

ABOUT THE ARTISTS
MDOU MOCTAR
Mdou Moctar immediately stands out as one of the most innovative artists in contemporary Saharan music. His unconventional interpretations of Tuareg guitar and have pushed him to the forefront of a crowded scene. Back home, he’s celebrated for his original compositions and verbose poetry, an original creator in a genre defined by cover bands. In the exterior, where Saharan rock has become one of the continents biggest musical exports, he’s earned a name for himself with his guitar moves. Mdou shreds with a relentless and frenetic energy that puts his contemporaries to shame.
TEKE TEKE
Formed at the crack of 2017, TEKE TEKE was first an homage to legendary Japanese guitarist Takeshi ‘Terry’ Terauchi. Using his music as a starting point, TEKE TEKE has quickly evolved into a band of its own by blending Japanese ‘Eleki’ with elements of modern music such as shoegaze, post-rock and noise.
