Banggz plants his flag with his debut album, 4 THE BANGGERZ, claiming his spot as a creative leader by crafting a sonic world where his supporters can congregate beyond the confines of the real world. As a vanguard of Afrobeats and Hip-hop fusion in the Ottawa music scene, Banggz coins “Afro-Rap” and consciously leaves an impact on listeners with the themes he explores: resilience, identity and camaraderie.
Banggz’ story is one of an immigrant from Nigeria, whose parents remain in their homeland, wishing for a better life for their son. Resonating deeply with the concept of community, Banggz is dedicated to fostering a sense of belonging for his listeners. He takes charge with 4 THE BANGGERZ and fights for the creation of a community where no one is left behind. 4 THE BANGGERZ is a sonic world for rebels and outcasts alike.
With festival appearances at Ottawa Bluesfest, and Sled Island (Calgary), POP Montréal, and Pique, Banggz’ star is on the rise. Following the release of the acclaimed single “OUTSIDE” and its spellbinding music video, Banggz will lead with “GOLDEN CHILDREN,” which features Ottawa rap legend and community builder City Fidelia, aiming to motivate listeners to celebrate their uniqueness and enjoy life day by day.
