Liz Clarke aka HTBSLE (pronounced HittaBa-SeeLay) is a Caribbean-Canadian interdisciplinary artist and entrepreneur. Clarke is known in the community for her uplifting and youthful exuberance. She has a wise, soulful and enriching energy with which she artfully imbues her music production and lyrics. She is a self-taught creative whose humble origins in the arts stem from writing stories in her childhood, which sparked a passion that led to her pursuing spoken word poetry and rapping. She is committed to using her creative gifts in writing, piano composition and visual artistry to create socially and spiritually conscious projects that invite her community to deeply reflect and engage intentionally with her creative content. Clark is an award-winning community builder and an accredited youth educator who continues to actively support and mentor youth and emerging interdisciplinary creatives through her artist development workshops.
