About Axé World Fest

Axé WorldFest will provide audiences with a positive experience of cultural activities showcasing world music in Canada’s capital. Music will inspire and motivate positivity in our communities – bringing international acts together with local acts – strengthening the essential elements of cultural diversity.

Our main focus is to curate BIPOC artists, Newcomers, 2SLGBTQ+ individuals, artists with disabilities and those who face increased systemic barriers to presenting their work elsewhere including at other organizations and venues in Ottawa.

We aim to improve and provide a safe working environment and better working conditions for marginalized artists and cultural workers, we are here to listen and be the voice for artists and to create an inclusive environment that brings people together to celebrate our community.
