Thank you to everyone who made 2024 so special at Debaser <3 We’ve accomplished so much and could not have done it without our ever-growing community of artists, audience members, volunteers, and crew!
Across four editions of Pique, we presented over 100 artists, collaborated with a diverse array of guest curators, and launched several initiatives, including reusable eco-cups, Cybernetique live interviews, a festival archive website, and expanded the EQUIPE harm reduction program. As always, we prioritized multidisciplinary and forward-thinking arts programming, with experimental performances, interactive installations, and our first ever kiki ball. We even launched WARP, a mentorship program for emerging event organizers looking to disrupt, distort, and transform the Canadian arts sector so as to create safe(r), more accessible, and more sustainable experiences.
