We are looking for feedback and artist submissions to support COVID-safer programming in development at Debaser.
We recognize that, for many, the impacts of COVID-19 and airborne illnesses are ongoing, and that COVID-conscious community members are underserved in Ottawa's music scene. Debaser is mandated to serve underrepresented artists and community members and promote safer events. Developing more COVID-safer event programming in collaboration with the community will fulfill our mandate and address an important gap.
We are seeking feedback from COVID-conscious communities on the types of COVID-safer programming that they would like to see, and the types of safety policies that would help them feel safer at events. Please fill in the form below with your suggestions and feedback.
We are also seeking COVID-conscious artists to participate in upcoming COVID-safer events and programming. Please fill in our artist submission form, and indicate that you are interested in participating in COVID-safer events in the space provided.
You can also send submissions to programming@debaser.ca
Yesterday, we also announced our first-ever interactive online party: Cybernetique! More than just a live stream, Cybernetique is a social e-gathering to dance, chat, and tune in to exclusive artist interviews with Pique performers. With 1,000+ people roaming around one building at each edition of Pique, we cannot guarantee that it is a COVID-safer event, however we are committed to improving accessibility to Pique and ongoing Debaser programs so that there are safer ways to participate.
Thank you for helping us shape safer programming for underserved artists and community members!
