Debaser is seeking applicants for its new programming committee for 2022. Click here (or the big black button below) to apply.
As a member of the Debaser Programming Committee, you will participate in monthly meetings to shape the curatorial direction of Debaser's programming alongside members of our staff and Board of Directors. Find out more about our team here.
Programming committee members will be asked to review submissions from artists, workshop/talk facilitators, and guest curators, as well as shape and evaluate curatorial and programming decisions for our quarterly event series Pique, and other ongoing Debaser-produced events.
We are looking for committee members whose values and interests are aligned with Debaser's. Debaser aims to program works & performances that are unique, original, and experimental in form and content. We look for programming that centres underrepresented and marginalized perspectives and voices. Our aim is to support community-oriented art by presenting work created by innovative artists and by providing local communities with access to challenging and critical artworks and perspectives from around the world.
We are especially interested in committee members whose work and experiences could help broaden the scope of Debaser's programming; would you like to see more representation from your field(s) and/or your communities at Debaser events? If so, this could be the right role for you.
We encourage applications from first time curators and from people who have never sat on a programming committee before. If you feel that you have a unique set of experiences or a vision that would expand Debaser's programming, please apply.
Debaser encourages applications from women, youth, QTBIPOC, 2SLGBTQIA+, and d/Deaf and disabled persons.
Applications close February 25, 2022.
