Ondes en plein air is a series of free outdoor pop-up performances of experimental and environmental sounds, taking place at various parks and public spaces in and around Hull.
Featuring Linsey Wellman, Turquoise Fire, Bucko Art Machine, Kira Jane, Seiiizi, Instant Places, Christina Bell, and Annie Socoria. Locations will be announced within 24 hours of the event.

Linsey Wellman
An active member of the Ottawa/Outaouais music scene, Linsey Wellman is known as a creative and spontaneous improvisor. In addition to being a soloist on the baritone and alto saxophones, he is a member of 2019 Polaris Prize shortlisted art-punk ensemble Fet Nat and JUNO award winning calypso outfit Kobo Town, while taking part in countless improvised music and jazz ensembles.
He is co-founder and co-curator of the Improvising Musicians of Ottawa/Outaouais (IMOO) concert series.
Membre actif de la scène musicale à Ottawa/Outaouais, Linsey Wellman est reconnu comme étant un improvisateur créatif et spontané. Autant qu’étant soliste aux saxophones baryton et alto, Il est membre de l’ensemble art-punk Fet Nat (courte liste Polaris 2019) et le groupe calypso Kobo Town (gagnant du prix JUNO), tout en faisant partie de nombreux ensembles de musique improvisée et de jazz.
Il est cofondateur et codirecteur artistique de la série Improvisation Musicale Ottawa/Outaouais(IMOO).
Turquoise Fire
Aymara Alvarado Sanchez has built a life without concessions with her dreams and ideals. Her existence is intimately linked to his arts that infuse his relationship with others. A multidisciplinary artist, she relentlessly explores the boundaries between painting, performance and music. Its Central American roots have been grafted to the eyes of the local people. Her energy and curiosity have led him to build projects, always with an inclusive and subversive perspective.
Aymara Alvarado Sanchez s'est construite une vie sans concession avec ses rêves et ses idéaux. Son existence est intimement liée à ses arts qui infusent son rapport aux autres. Artiste multi-disciplinaire, elle explore sans relâche les frontières entre la peinture, la performance et la musique. Ses racines d'Amérique centrale se sont greffées aux regards d'ici. Son énergie et sa curiosité l'ont amené à construire des projets, avec toujours ce regard inclusif et subversif.
Bucko Art Machine
Bucko Art Machine is Bucko and his frequent collaborator Nick Schofield (Rêves Sonores, Saxsyndrum). Bucko utilizes an iPhone mounted to his wheelchair to control a myriad of synthesizer applications, generating improvised electronic music that ranges from deeply serene to outright unhinged. Producer Nick elevates the signature Bucko sound with his deft touch on synthesizers and samplers.
As an artist with a disability; accessibility, visibility, and representation is very important to Bucko’s practice. He is an ambassador in the Ottawa arts community for accessibility in creative spaces, and is a recognized scene-builder and pioneer for his work in the experimental music circles. CBC recently awarded Chris Binkowski aka Bucko the ‘2021 Trailblazer’ prize for his leadership in the arts. Currently, Bucko is working on his debut album alongside producer Nick Schofield. This body of work fuses his iPhone synthesis with a full backing band to form the Bucko Art Machine.
Seiiizi
SEIIIZI (she/her) is a Queer Black Afro-Carribean Ottawa based multimedia artist with creative roots in DJ-ing hip-hop and electronic music creation. Since 2015 Seiiizi has been performing as a rapper and DJ at festivals such as WestFest and Ottawa Fringe in the capital region.
Kira Jane
Kira Jane is a DIY electronic artist from Ottawa. At 19 she might be new to the scene, but she cant wait to make you dance your heart out.

Christina Bell
Christina Bell is a Hull-based interdisciplinary artist who creates experimental, pop music with a focus on personal storytelling and a penchant for humour. Her work draws from several genres and incorporate many moods, taking the audience on a collage-style journey from beginning to end.
She previously performed as “Chrissy,” with her main collaborator Marceline Adkins, and a rotating cast of talented contributors. In 2020 Chrissy released an EP, “Your Dove” and created a series of eight music videos documenting the Chrissy set “Live from Home.” Chrissy also performed their set at the Shenkman Arts Centre as a part of the OMIC “Encore Ottawa” music series.
Christina has played in several Montreal-based bands including The Submissives, Guy Madonna and The Leech.
She is currently in the process of crafting a new solo set inspired by months of being stuck in Hull.
Christina Bell est une artiste interdisciplinaire basée à Hull qui crée de la musique pop expérimentale en mettant l'accent sur la narration personnelle et un penchant pour l'humour. Son travail s'inspire de plusieurs genres et incorpore de nombreuses humeurs, entraînant le public dans un voyage de type collage du début à la fin.
Elle se produisait auparavant sous le nom de "Chrissy", avec sa principale collaboratrice, Marceline Adkins, et une équipe tournante de collaborateurs talentueux. En 2020, Chrissy a sorti un EP, "Your Dove" et a créé une série de huit vidéos musicales documentant le set Chrissy "Live from Home". Annie Socoria
Annie Socoria is an Ottawa based experimental audiovisual artist. They explore atmospheric ambient soundscapes and drones using a variety of methods (hardware and software synthesizers, circuit bent electronics, no-input mixers, pedal feedback, tape loops, field recordings, and more).
Annie Socoria est un artiste audiovisuelle expérimentale basée à Ottawa. Ils explorent les paysages sonores ambiants et les drones atmosphériques à l'aide de diverses méthodes, notamment des synthétiseurs matériels et logiciels, des composants électroniques maison et modifiés, des mélangeurs sans entrée, des retours de pédale, des boucles de bande, des enregistrements sur le terrain, etc.
